Aim
To deliver competence-based update training and assessment that will lead to the City & Guilds Level 3 Award in Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671:2018 (2382-26). This qualification includes Amendment 4, which was introduced in April 2026.
Pre-requisites
This update course is primarily for those candidates who have already completed the City & Guilds 18th Edition course 2382-22 (prior to the new Amendment 4).
For candidates who have completed the 17th Edition award only (C&G 2382-15) – or earlier editions – it is recommended to undertake our 3-day course.
Course Duration
The course is of one day in duration.
Optimum Number.
Maximum of 10 candidates per course.
Course Language
The course is delivered in English, therefore candidates must have a good standard of both written and verbal English. Courses can be delivered in other languages however, this would need to be discussed prior to acceptance on the course. It is the responsibility of the person making the booking to make Roxby aware of this requirement.

Assessment
Candidates will undertake a City & Guilds online examination, multiple choice format of 60 questions in 2 hours. The exam is ‘open-book’ in that candidates are required to use the current IET 18th Edition Wiring Regulations book for the duration of the exam.
The course will allow candidates to demonstrate sufficient knowledge of BS 7671:2018 +A4:2026.
Upon successful completion of the online exam, candidates will be issued with a nationally recognized City & Guilds Level 3 Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671:2018 (2382-26). This includes the Amendment 4 which was introduced in April 2026.

Amendment 4 – introduces several critical changes and additions including but not limited to Stationary Secondary Batteries, Power of Ethernet, Functional Earthing for ICT, Medical Locations and Protective Multiple Earthing.
