The Recognised Practitioners Programme (RPP) intends to deliver competence-based training and assessment in the selection, use, maintenance, and inspection of electrical apparatus in potentially explosive atmospheres in accordance with the requirements of IEC 60079 series relevant standards.
On completion of the assessments, they are sent to the awarding body for marking, if successful, the candidates shall be issued with a certificate of core competence by CompEx Certification Limited.
Candidates will have completed the initial 5-day CompEx course or CompEx Refresher course and held the certificate no longer than 5 years.
You are required to bring with you photo identification, your current CompEx certificate and suitable evidence that you are a fully qualified electrical or instrument craftsperson. Ideally this could be a NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship Certificate / Indentures, or an ECS-JIB Gold Card. Alternatively, an employer supporting letter may be sufficient – a template for this can be provided on request.
The course is 3 days in duration.
A maximum of 8 candidates per course.
The course is delivered in English. Therefore, candidates must have a good standard of both written and verbal English.
Courses can be delivered in other languages; however, this would need to be discussed prior to acceptance on the course. It is the responsibility of the person making the booking to make Roxby aware of this requirement.
Training Aids
A Roxby presentation, using course handouts, the EEMUA Publication 214 A Toolbox Guide and demonstration / instructional videos. This is followed with practical training and assessments.
