To deliver competence-based training and assessment in the selection, use, maintenance, and inspection of I.S. and non-I.S. electrical apparatus in areas of combustible dusts in accordance with the requirements of IEC 60079-0, IEC 60079-10-2, IEC 60079-14 and IEC 60079-17 relevant standards.
On completion of the assessments, they are sent to the awarding body for marking, if successful, the candidates shall be issued with a certificate of core competence by CompEx Certification Limited.
Candidates for the course should be competent electrical and or instrument craft personnel. Additionally, having completed the CompEx ExF+ Foundation Plus and/or CompEx Ex01 – Ex04 would be advantageous.
Candidates are required to bring with you photo identification and suitable evidence that you are a fully qualified electrical or instrument craftsperson. Ideally this could be a NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship Certificate / Indentures, or an ECS-JIB Gold Card. Alternatively, an employer supporting letter may be sufficient – a template for this can be provided on request.
The course is 3 days in duration. Offering 3 consecutive days for up to 4 candidates or a split course whereby there are 2 available places for candidates to attend days 1 -2 for training and day 4 for the assessments.
A maximum of 6 candidates per course.
The course is delivered in English. Therefore, candidates must have good standards of both written and verbal English.
Courses can be delivered in other languages however, this would need to be discussed prior to acceptance on the course. It is the responsibility of the person making the booking to make Roxby aware of this requirement.
A Roxby presentation, using course handouts, the EEMUA Publication 214 A Toolbox Guide and demonstration / instructional videos. This is followed with practical training and assessments.
