To deliver in-depth competence-based training and assessment in the application design and selection of electrical equipment with the requirements of IEC 60079-14. This will relate to the electrical installation design, selection and erection in areas of explosive atmospheres.
On completion of the assessments, they are sent to the awarding body for marking, if successful, the candidates shall be issued with a certificate of core competence by CompEx Certification Limited.
Candidates for the course should be electrical or instrument engineers, including E&I designers, maintenance, project engineers etc.
You are required to bring with you photo identification and suitable evidence that you are fully qualified in the electrical or instrument fields, or both. This could be a letter from your employer or certification evidence of your engineering qualifications.
The course is 5 days in duration.
A maximum of 10 candidates per course.
The course is delivered in English. Therefore, candidates must have good standards of both written and verbal English.
Courses can be delivered in other languages however, this would need to be discussed prior to acceptance on the course. It is the responsibility of the person making the booking to make Roxby aware of this requirement.
A Roxby presentation using course handouts, the EEMUA Publication 214 A Toolbox Guide and demonstration / instructional videos. This is followed by training and multiple written assessments.
